In the module you will be taught on how to go over some tips and techniques on how to write lyrics as well offer some insight as to why some lyrics seem to stick in people's head and why some don't.
Recording:
Outside of actually completing an entire song, the next most important thing for any musician is recording. Selling your recordings are going to be the primary way you will make your money. In this important module you will learn how to go over the technicalities of recording; how to do it and how you should format those recordings. There are tips for how to work within a professional studio as well as how to set up your professional sounding, home-recording studio.
Making a Demo:
It's time to start sending out your music! In this module you will be shown a step-by-step guide on how to make your own music demo, explaining how to do both single and multi-track recording. You go through the whole process with me to see how to make one man sound like a whole band! The difference between mastered and un-mastered recordings and how a demo is different than a final recording is also explained.
Finding Work:
Here is a section that is worth the cost of this course alone! In this incredibly informative module, you will be shown how to take the demo you just created and market it to potential clients to get work. You will shown who to contact, how to contact them, and what sort of information should be inside your press kit. You will be taught how you can find clients in any country in the world using the internet, no matter where you currently live, as well as how to find other artists to do collaborative work with. Legal:
Without this informative module help, the jungle of modern copywrite laws is very difficult to navigate! You will learn what rights you have as a songwriter to protect your music, making sure you are receiving what you should for your work, and how the profits from a song are split between you, your publisher and / or your record producer. There is even some legal contract examples to help you understand the typical "legal jargon" you will come across when singing your deal. Royalties:
This another really important section for any professional musician as this deals with how you will be getting paid! In this module you will learn the difference between mechanical, performance, print, and synchronization royalties and how you can utilize all four for your benefit. There are even some tips on how to cement more radio airplay, how to turn a single song into a hit record, and other unknown secrets to secure you even larger, more substantial, royalty checks!
